Colorado: The Happy State

Oct 30, 2014

According to WalletHub’s 2014 Most and Least Happy States in America study, people in the Centennial State are happier than almost the entire rest of the country, with Colorado coming in fourth out of 50 states.

The study ranked states based on:

1. Emotional and physical health

2. Work

3. Community, environment and recreational activities

Colorado ranked high (No. 2) for emotional and physical well-being. It also ranked in the top 10 for both work (No. 9) and community, environment and recreational activities (No. 10).

The ranking also pointed out Colorado’s low obesity rate, low prevalence of inadequate sleep, and high sports participation rate.
