Colorado’s Employment Outlook to Improve

Aug 15, 2014

The Quarterly Business and Economic Indicators Report (which can be downloaded as a PDF here) was released Friday by the Secretary of State Scott Gessler and reports that Colorado’s employment outlook is expected to improve during the last half of this year.

Here are some key numbers:

24,601 new businesses filed in the second quarter, up 13.1 percent from the same period a year ago.

98,230 of existing businesses renewed their registrations in the second quarter, up almost 4 percent from a year ago.

These numbers mean employment growth is expected to continue at a moderate pace.
