Have you ever thought of composting and the benefits it would have for your garden? If so, but you have no idea where to start, Denver Urban Gardens, together with Denver Recycles, will be offering free classes on composting now through the end of October. Each class is hosted at the Gove Community Garden at 13th and Colorado and will last two hours.
If you want to compost, but don’t want to deal with it in your backyard, then you could also consider Denver’s Compost Collection Program. For a small charge, you will receive a bin you can throw your compost materials in for collection each week. Surprisingly, over 50% of all trash in Denver could be composted.
