Third in the Nation for Falling Foreclosure Percentages

Nationally, foreclosures are down 32.71 percent, however, here in Colorado the number of residential foreclosures last month fell by an incredible 76.31 percent from a year ago.

RealityTrac counted 290 foreclosure sales in the state during February, which places Colorado in third place – behind Vermont and South Dakota – for the largest year-over-year percentage decline in foreclosures.

Foreclosure starts in Colorado dropped 22.93 percent in February from January, compared with a national month-to-month drop of only 9.43 percent.

In the City and County of Denver, only one out of every 2,084 was in some stage of foreclosure compared with one out of every 1,170 households nationally.
