March marked the start of the spring selling season and buyers are getting a head start.
Homes are selling faster:
- Sales rose 31% from February
- Listings rose 21% from March 2013
- Active homes increased 21 percent from March 2013
Before October 2009, Denver saw 36 straight months of year-over-year price declines, peaking at a 5.7 percent drop in February 2009 from the year before.
However, Denver has now had year-over-year home-resale price gains of 9 percent or more for 12 out of 13 months.
At most price points, the number of prospective buyers far outstrips the number of homes available, so the increase of homes on the market is welcome.
