Patrick and I put Jon Terry to the ultimate Realtor® test in patience and endurance! We set out on a quest almost a year ago to find a home in the Denver area which meant searching in an area we weren’t familiar with having lived in Vail Valley for the last 14 years.
With a very specific “needs and wants” list for our home, we had to squeeze in property viewings with Jon as frequently as our work schedules in the mountains would allow and of course accommodating our little baby boy’s nap times (quite a few in Jon’s backseat). Our search started in Golden and Morrison but quickly began to cover neighborhoods south in Littleton and Lakewood, and north to Westminster, Arvada and Thornton and everywhere in between! Not only was Jon the epitome of patience and good humor – regaling us with funny Realtor® anecdotes all while putting serious miles on his comfortable ride – he stuck with us for over 200 homes AND 4 losing bids on homes we had our hearts set on over the course of 5 months.
Our journey finally came to a close with our beautiful home in Northglenn in a quiet neighborhood which became ours last May. I remember Jon saying it didn’t matter how many times we had to go look at properties, the end result was all that mattered to him. He proved that he was in it for the long haul and for that we are deeply grateful and happy that he didn’t give up on us. And now we have a lifelong friend and someone who was always quick with a laugh and smile even after the long afternoons would wear on our little baby boy in the backseat.
