The Important Connection Between Wind and Water

Mar 31, 2014

World Water Day is celebrated every March, and this year’s theme was the interdependent relationship between water and energy. Every kilowatt of energy delivered demands 25 gallons of water, however, according to this past World Water Development report from the United Nations, wind power is the most sustainable renewable energy due to its low impact on greenhouse emissions and water conservation.

Alaris is also committed to preserving the environment, and we are grateful for the continuing increase of the amount of electricity Colorado generates from wind power. Xcel Energy, who remains the largest provider of electricity and natural gas in Colorado, runs two new wind farms, Limon I and Limon II, that offer some of the lowest-priced and significant wind energy we’ve seen.
