The new United States of Aging Survey, conducted in part by United Healthcare, shows that people age more proactively in Denver than anywhere else in the country.

Why? Because older Denver residents eat better and exercise more.

Here are some of the survey’s positive statistics:

62 percent of Denver’s older adults placed an emphasis on healthy eating (compared with 49 percent nationally)

42 percent tend to exercise in public (compared with 32 percent nationally)

84 percent are confident they will be able to afford health care costs as they age

75 percent said that they find it easy to pay their monthly bills

A State Frustrating for Outsiders

Thrillist’s newest ranking, “The Definitive and Final Ranking of all 50 States,” placed Colorado in the No. 10 spot.

Thrillist’s list categorizes all 50 states based on their “contributions to America,” such as inventions, food and drink, famous people, and physical beauty.

“Colorado has life figured out to a degree that is somewhat frustrating for outsiders,” Thrillist said in the ranking.

On top of that, Colorado consistently ranks among the top 10 states for cities to raise a family in, recently soared on CNBC’s “Top States for Business” list, and continues to have a strong growth for jobs in the energy sector.

We believe in Colorado. We write about Colorado. This our home.  We want to make it the best it can be and highlight the best it has to offer, for which we are sincerely grateful. Visit the Alaris Gratitude Corner for more about why we are grateful for life in this beautiful state.

Need Remodeling Ideas? Come See Alaris Properties’ Concept Office

Tuesday, May 26th, 2015

Thank you to everyone who attended our Open House in the Genesee Town Center on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Even though it snowed heavily and the fog was very thick, we had an excellent turn out. Through all the excitement of the Open House, we promised to write an article telling everyone what we are doing in Genesee or what I like to call the Gateway to the Rockies or Where Denver Meets the Mountains.

Alaris Properties LLC

We have built a concept office like none other. When you walk into our office, you walk into a beautifully appointed mountain home living room that opens into a comfortable study where one would enjoy reading a book. Instead of having a conference room, we have a dining room. Of course, we use our dining room for meetings as well.

Alaris is Putting Down New Roots

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015

We wrote an article in December 2014, titled “Putting Down Roots”. Now it’s our turn. Everyone on the Alaris team lives in the foothills, and we are now opening a new office in the Genesee Town Center. We are putting down roots to continue to serve the foothills community. We chose Genesee because of its central location and accessibility to many foothills communities.

We love living and working in the foothills and mountains of Colorado. We want to start a conversation about why you love living in the foothills. You can go to our blog on AlarisProperties.com to let us know why you love your neighborhood and/or community. Your comments help us tell homebuyers why they should buy a home in your area. In turn, this helps us increase property values. We are sincerely excited to hear from you.

“The value that Jon and Alaris provide is superior!”

SOLD!

We recently helped David Corsaut sell this beautiful property in Golden. Here’s what he had to say about his experience:

“Jon has a marketing and sales methodology that works very well and is time-proven. He has extensive networks that he utilizes to find buyers. Jon has several qualities that are impressive, the one I would highlight would be his ability to sort through all of the competing issues prevalent between buyers and sellers and find the compromise solution that allows the transaction to be completed.”

When asked if he would work with Alaris again, David had nothing but great things to say:
“I would definitely engage Jon and Alaris to purchase or sell a property. The value that Jon and Alaris provide is superior!”

Thank you David! What did you think of your experience with Jon and the Alaris team? Visit our Gratitude Corner and tell us your story.

Happy New Year from Alaris Properties

Monday, December 29th, 2014

Alaris Properties, LLC

Why do people celebrate the New Year? If you ask around you may get an assortment of answers, but what it comes down to is change and renewal. Just as we flip the pages of our calendars, we also get the opportunity to change things in our lives – for the better!

Resolutions are a tricky thing. Everyone wants to be healthier, get more done, and excel in their career, but what about personal growth? Here at Alaris Properties, we believe in the power of gratitude and know that strong, personal relationships have more meaning than a to-do list of resolutions.

Sure, create your list of resolutions. Get better at managing your time, volunteer more, get a gym membership, but don’t forget about your friends and neighbors. This year, take the time to have meaningful conversations. Be there for someone. Support a loved one. You’ll be surprised at how great those feel compared to the regular resolutions.

Jon is Our Go-To in Real Estate

Monday, December 15th, 2014

Jon helped both my sons get into homes in Denver. He is our family’s go-to in real estate. What a combination of a sharp critical eye, quick intelligence, and infinite patience. Knowledge is Key is right and Jon’s peripheral recommendations and advice, even beyond the real estate purchase itself, have saved me thousands. On top of this he is just fun to talk with on the journey. No reason to use anyone else, we are grateful for Jon’s work on my family’s behalf.

The Season of Gratitude

Wednesday, November 26th, 2014

At Alaris Properties, we try to take the time every day to show our gratitude and we encourage everyone else to do the same. The approaching holidays are a great reminder that there is a lot to be thankful for.

In life, we believe that gratitude is the key to joy, happiness, appreciating beauty, and finding fulfillment. There is so much to be thankful for, such as kind people, natural wonders, wildlife, recreational activities, the art and helpful businesses. The more gratitude you bring into your life, the more joy you will experience.

Through our Gratitude Corner we give everyone the opportunity to share their stories with us. What are you grateful for? When you sit at the Thanksgiving table, what stories will you share? Check out Gratitude stories on our Facebook page.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Stop What You’re Doing and Go Outside

Thursday, September 25th, 2014

Alaris Properties, LLC

There’s a reason everyone is moving to Colorado – it really is a magical place. Autumn is here which means the leaves are changing to a beautiful gold and the air is cooling down. The mountains are a great place to be this time of year.

Here at Alaris Properties, we believe that gratitude is the secret key to success in business and in life. There is so much to be grateful for here in Colorado – low unemployment rate, good economy, healthy lifestyles – and that includes watching the seasons change in the mountains.

So do yourself a favor, stop what you’re doing and take a 5 minute break outside. Whether you’re in the quiet neighborhoods of Genesee or the boisterous streets of Denver, give yourself some time outside to take a few deep breaths and observe your surroundings. You’d be amazed at how much just 5 minutes with the Colorado air can do for you.
